About Bridge

Bridge is a stablecoin infrastructure company (co-founded 2022 by Zach Abrams and Sean Yu), acquired by Stripe for ~$1.1B (announced October 2024, closed February 4, 2025). Its card-issuing product lets a platform issue stablecoin-backed Visa cards to users, integrated with Stripe Issuing — the card-program provider the Stellar Playbook lists for debit cards. On Stellar, Bridge issues MGUSD, MoneyGram's U.S.-dollar-backed stablecoin native to the Stellar blockchain, with tokens minted/burned via M0's smart-contract infrastructure.
